Summer Camp Program

Camp details such as dates and times are subject to change based on Covid-19 restrictions mandated by the State of NC.

Thank you for your interest in the Summer Camp Program here at Lincoln Charter School. We would like to welcome you to Lincoln Charter School’s Summer Camp 2020. Lincoln Charter School will be starting its 10th year offering Summer Camp Programs.  LCS Summer Camp Programs are offered to LCS students and children in the community.

Even though we are in this unique situation, LCS Summer Camp is up and running! We have made some program changes that are necessary to prevent the spread of COVID-19. In order to explain the safety precautions we have implemented, we have created a Parent Orientation Video that reviews our LCS Summer Camp COVID-19 Safety Precautions provided by the NC Department of Health and Services - Interim Coronavirus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) Guidance for Day Camp. These guidelines are subject to change to reflect changes in guidance from government entities relating to COVID-19.

Please Note:

We are aware of Governor Cooper’s updated guidelines for Summer Camps.  All staff at LCS Summer Day Camp will continue to wear face coverings when we are or may be within six feet of another person, in addition to wearing face coverings within our households.   Due to the updated guidelines, we will now require campers ages 11 and up to wear face coverings at all times while at camp. As always, we are doing everything we can inside the building to ensure appropriate social distancing and to reduce even further the risk of exposure while your camper is in our care.  Thank you for your understanding.

Campers may have difficulty in maintaining social distancing guidelines, as they are likely to be very excited to hang out with their friends again. Camp staff will be monitoring as closely as possible; however, if you are concerned that your camper may have difficulties with adhering to social distancing, then please consider if this group setting is appropriate under the current situation.

As in previous years, we will offer Summer Day Camp for eight weeks over the summer in addition to Sport and Scholar Camps offered by the week throughout the summer. We would love to have your child or children in our camp this summer. We work hard to plan a super fun summer full of great activities.

Sport and Scholar Camps

Unfortunately, the Summer Camp team has decided to cancel several of the scheduled Sport and Scholar Camps. Since the onset of this pandemic, we have spent countless hours assessing a range of possibilities to create a way to run our scholar camps safely. Ultimately, with the recent announcements from our Governor and guidelines provided by the NCHSAA, we were not comfortable running these camps this summer.  For a list of our sport and scholar camps, please visit the 2020 LCS Summer Camp Brochure.
